ASTRO DOG'S CELESTIAL ADVENTURES LAST NIGHT FEATURING A BEAUTIFUL FULL MOON, THE INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION, ROCKPOOLING, PADDLES AND LOTS OF ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS πππ°πΆπ΄ππ¦π¦β¨οΈ
Last night, we headed out on a little celestial adventure to watch the moonrise.
Once we gathered our equipment, we worked out where the moon was going to rise and decided to head to the beach to watch the moon rise above the castle and North Sea.
It was a lovely evening. The skies were clear, the waves sounded so beautiful washing upon the shore and there were bats flying above our heads too! While we waited for the Moon to rise we set up our cameras, Luna enjoyed playing on the grass and we had some little cuddles because she is recovering from a little limp currently, bless her.
Eventually we began to see a gorgeous glow behind the headland indicating the moon was about to rise, so we made sure we were on standby by the cameras and ready to go.
We decided to try something a little bit different for this Mayβs full Moon and capture a sequence of shots as the Moon was rising over the castle with the idea of layering these together to show several stages of the moonrise. We love how you can see the deep amber colour slowly taking on more golden hues as the moon rose higher.
This was the first time we have ever tried to capture a lunar sequence like this, it takes quite a bit of work, but we are quite happy how it turned out. There are a few things that we would like to do a bit differently the next time we try a shot like this, but overall we think it worked out quite well for a first attempt. We hope you guys like it too. π₯°
After we captured the moonrise we witnessed a stunning bright, long and elevated International Space Station pass over the castle and sea, we went down to the beach and looked in the rock pools spotting lots of crabs, Luna enjoyed a little moonlit paddle and then we headed towards Oliver's Mount to witness the second bright International Space Station pass over the war memorial monument where we saw lots of baby bunnies and met our beautiful, friendly horsey friends too.Β
All in all it was a wonderful evening watching the moon rise, the International Space Station pass, looking in the rockpools, having a little paddle and enjoying lots of animal encounters. We hope you all had a wonderful evening too.
We would love to hear about your night and see your pictures too, so please feel free to share any of your adventures and pictures in the comments below. π₯°π
