We are excited to announce a brand-new Astro Dog stargazing experience. We have teamed up with the people at Dine.co.uk to offer a unique dining and stargazing experience at the stunning historic venue of Howsham Hall!
This exciting brand-new event will take place on Saturday the 11th of October 2025.
STARGAZING AND DINING EXPERIENCE AT HOWSHAM HALL
Howsham Hall is an exquisite grade 1 listed Jacobean manor house located in the heart of the area of outstanding natural beauty that is the Howardian Hills.
This amazing manor offers 80 acres of private land with sweeping panoramic views of the beautifully dark skies of the Howardian Hills, making it an ideal place to immerse yourself in the night sky.
The experience will include a delicious 3 course meal prepared by the professional chefs at Howsham, bespoke handcrafted chocolates, followed by an enchanting stargazing session in the grounds plus interesting and exciting presentations.
OPTIONAL OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION AVAILABLE
Don’t want the magic to stop? Why not in stay the night in one of the many luxurious suites at Howsham Hall? Optional overnight accommodation with included breakfast is also available.
ASTRO DOG STARGAZING EXPERIENCE

“Enjoy a laser guided tour of the night sky. Learn about stars, asterisms, constellations, star-hopping and how to navigate the night sky. (Weather permitting) Use a selection of professional and observatory grade telescopes to view the planets, the Moon and stunning deep space objects such as double stars, star clusters, galaxies and nebulae.
Discover how to view the night sky and how to plan your own stargazing outings using planetarium software. Find out about useful astronomy related apps, software and space simulators that can aid you in stargazing, astrophotography and learning more about the universe.
Enjoy a colourful presentation on astrophotography, showcasing some of the incredible celestial spectacles that can be seen in our night skies.
Don’t worry if the skies are cloudy, there’s still lots of exciting and interesting activities to enjoy whatever the weather – Learn about the history of astronomy and space travel, travel through our solar system and embark on a journey to the edge of the known universe inside our immersive 360° planetarium dome. View and learn about the wonders of the universe with the breathtaking experience of surround vision. Get to know the equipment and accessories involved in stargazing and astrophotography such as binoculars, telescopes, tripods and tracking mounts.”
