Experience a 360° Cosmic Extravaganza at Scarborough Market Hall!
As part of the Scarborough Fair Fringe Festival, join us on Saturday 20th June 2026 for a day of cosmic wonder as we bring our brand new, spacious 6-metre planetarium dome to the heart of Scarborough — with screenings and showings of astronomy and space films running throughout the day.
🎟 Please note: each ticket is valid for one person (adult or child) per screening. If you are booking for a group, please purchase one ticket per person. Children must be accompanied by a responsible paying adult.
Step inside and be transported to the cosmos — we'll be showing a stunning variety of astronomy and space themed films throughout the day, with screenings every 45 minutes. From fascinating and inspiring educational documentaries to breathtaking sensory experiences, there's something for everyone.

A captivating look at modern astronomy technology, and the incredible things we have discovered and learned about by using this technology to allow us to observe what was previously invisible to humanity.

The Sun - Our Living Star - 2:15pm

Explore the Sun’s role in allowing and maintaining life on Earth. Discover how the Sun dictates our days, seasons, years and creates the amazing natural phenomena of aurorae. Delve into the history of the Sun’s impact on human religion and culture.
The Sun, Our Living Star allows viewers to experience the Sun in a new way, with never-before-seen images of its turbulent surface in immersive 360º format, revealing its power and variability in breathtaking detail.
The Planets 360 : Modern Edition - 1:30pm
Suitable for all ages - aimed at 10+, teens and adults.
A contemporary re-imagining of British composer Gustav Holst's 'The Planets' orchestral suite.
This film uses the full-dome format to create a sonically driven and immersive experience. The show aims to bring new audiences to the planetarium dome by fusing art, music and science into a 360º spectacle.
Please note this show is primarily entertainment rather than educational. The planets 360 does not contain narration apart from a brief introduction and is primarily music and visualisations.
Astra & Sirius - 12:45pm
Suitable for all ages - aimed at families with children aged 6 - 14 years.
A unique immersive educational experience delivered in 3 post-card narrative styled episodes. Perfect for children, families, and adults!
Join a young girl named Astra, and her dog, Sirius, as they explore - the night sky, its stars and its constellations, the inner Solar system and the outer Solar system.
Learn about the patterns and constellations in the sky. Discover some of the myths behind the constellations. Journey across our solar system and marvel at the planets, asteroids and more!
Ted's Space Adventure - 12:00pm
Suitable for all ages - aimed at families with children aged 3 - 6 years
Join Ted the bear and his friend Plant on a playful journey through our Solar System in this fun and educational fulldome planetarium show. Through song, humour and discovery, little explorers will travel from planet to planet and learn what makes Earth so special.
This show features simple, beautiful and colourful set visuals with live narration, making every experience unique. There’s plenty of audience participation with sing-alongs and immersive moments along the way.
A must see show for pre-school children!
