Celestial Adventures III — A Night Photography & Astrophotography Exhibition by Astro Dog
Please note: this exhibition is free and no ticket purchase is required to attend, however donations are welcome and help support our venture :)
Join us on a celestial adventure, a journey through time and space. Exploring the cosmic beauty of the night sky. From the beauty/splendour of a moonlit ocean, to blackened skies adorned with stars, to the majesty of the Northern Lights dancing above the quiet cliff tops. Take a closer look at the jewels of the night sky from millions of lightyears away, such as distant star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. Marvel at nature’s own fireworks, from lightning strikes to meteors and stunning atmospheric phenomena that paint our skies in all the colours of the rainbow.
This exhibition will take place as part of the 2026 Scarborough Art festival at the Shakespeare Gallery, Scarborough between the 28th of July and 3rd of August. Open times 11:00am-5:30pm.
Prints of all exhibited images — and many more — will be available to purchase, alongside our space-themed gift store featuring Astro Dog merchandise, genuine space rocks, meteorite jewellery, and more. There's something for every space enthusiast.

Featuring images and time-lapse footage of the night sky captured from Scarborough, the North York Moors, across the UK and from Arctic regions, join us in the beautiful setting of Scarborough's Shakespeare Gallery to enjoy a vibrant and colourful photography exhibition surrounding the night sky including:

- Night Landscapes
- The Milky Way
- Deep Space Objects - Star Clusters, Galaxies, Nebulae
- Stars, including our closest star, the Sun!

Astro Dog have been capturing images of the night sky for over a decade. Many of their Northern Lights and astrophotography images and time-lapse sequences have been showcased on national news broadcasts, the BBC One Show, and in national media publications such as the Times, the Telegraph and the BBC Sky at Night.
Over many years of photographing the night sky, they have created an extensive portfolio of night photography images and have a great passion for teaching others about and helping others view the wonders of the Universe and all the amazing natural light shows that can be seen in our night skies.
This exhibition will be hosted at the Shakespeare Gallery, Scarborough between the 28th of July and the 3rd of August.
Open times are between 11am and 5:30pm.
Entry to the exhibition is completely free and doesn't require a ticket!
However, donations are welcome. Every contribution helps us realise our dream and helps support our small local business! :)
