AR3697 (formerly 3664) RELEASES STRONG X FLARE!

AR 3697 HAS LET OFF ANOTHER STRONG X CLASS SOLAR FLARE! WHILST NOT EARTH FACING YET, IT IS STILL VERY EXCITING INDEED! 😍💚💜💙✨️

Just a quick update for now as i'm in hospital for a procedure, but have some exciting news! The prolific sunspot region previously named AR3664 (now named AR3697) that was responsible for the extreme geomagnetic storm on May 10th has let out another large X class solar flare again.

This time it was responsible for a long duration X1.4 solar flare which peaked at 14:37 UTC on the 29th of May. While this solar flare looks to be eruptive again, the region is still very close to the limb so we do not expect the charged particles to be Earth directed. However the region will rotate to face us within the next days which is very exciting indeed! Fingers and toes crossed for more auroral activity her on Earth! 💖✨️
