As some of you will know, this time last year, we began a new adventure with a local business called Hidden Horizons and what an incredible year we’ve had! It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with team HH and we’ve learnt so much along the way. We are really thankful for everything we’ve experienced in this first year, it’s been nothing short of spectacular! Whilst we were quite daunted and apprehensive at first, we found delivering stargazing sessions to be an amazing and rewarding experience.
After one year of running events on behalf of Hidden Horizons and celebrating the one year anniversary of setting up Astro Dog we had a meeting with our friend Will, owner of Hidden Horizons. Following this meeting we came away with a big announcement, one of which we would like to share with you now.
TAKING ON DALBY COURTYARD STARGAZING SESSIONS
We are very excited to announce that we will be taking on the stargazing events from Hidden Horizons and will be running all future stargazing events under the name 'Astro Dog'. We are now fully responsible for all of the stargazing events run from the Dalby Forest Courtyard and are thrilled that we’ve been given this opportunity. We have so many exciting ideas moving forward with Astro dog for the future.
AN EXCITING NEW LOCAL BUSINESS
We've been extremely busy behind the scenes preparing Astro Dog to become a fully fledged business ahead of the new stargazing season. Registering the business, attending lots of business meetings, setting up the permissions and lease for our stargazing hub in Dalby Forest, networking, and organising a whole load of things including the creation of OUR OWN WEBSITE!

That’s right! Our own website! We are proud to announce that www.astro-dog.co.uk is now live! We’ve been working extremely hard to bring this website together in the last couple of weeks, so be sure to head over and check it out. We’d love to know what you think. EVENT BOOKINGS NOW AVAILABLE
Our website holds information on the events we run in Dalby as well as the means to book onto our events.
We are delighted to have also launched an extensive new event programme starting on the 21st October, running all the way through Autumn, Winter and Spring. We chose this date to kick start the season as this is the start of the October half term and the annual North York Moors Dark Skies Fringe Festival, which we are delighted to be supporting again this year.

MOVING FORWARD
It’s truly exciting times for us at Astro Dog with us starting up stargazing events again, starting our own business, plus launching our own website! It’s very daunting being a new start-up business and it’s been a bit of a whirlwind setting up, but we can’t wait to get back to being under the dark skies of Dalby and sharing lots of wonderful moments with our guests who visit us there.
We’ve got lots more plans for Astro Dog and our website, and are excited to see what the future will hold.
